You were tolerating the break up ok until your ex has suddenly snatched themselves a new love interest. The old wound opens up and you’re back to feeling like you were dumped all over again. This happens to the best of people and you might feel like it’s a massive step backwards but that isn’t necessarily true. What is crucial at this stage is your reaction and what you do now. A bad move here can severely cut any hope for a second chance in the future.

Say anything negative about their new love.
Even if you don’t like them, bite your tongue and grin through it. Your ex will most likely interpret your bitching as you being jealous.
Communicating too much
Your ex will most likely want to spend all their time with this new person. Don’t stand in the way and become a nuisance. Allow them their time together or you will only make your ex hate you in the long run.
Constantly talking about how wrong they are together to other people.
Whether it’s true or not it’s best not to talk about it. It won’t make you feel any better and word will likely get back to your ex.
What you should do:
Be openly happy for your ex.
Whether you agree with their pick in a partner, if you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all.
Back away if you haven’t already.
This might be a good time to start casually dating yourself. It will help keep your mind off your ex.
